MEDICAL TRANSPORT
While Urgent Health Transport (TSU) services patients in critical situations that are impossible to predict, whether they are pre-hospital or inter-hospital, Non-Urgent Health Transport (TSNU) is a modality of medical transport characterised by being scheduled. In other words, the Coordinating Centre knows the place and time of the beginning and end of each service. This allows us to predict exactly what human and material resources should be provided for care.
In 2019 alone the HTGROUP companies made a total of 3,187,468 scheduled services, the majority involving more than one person (74.71%). The main reasons for scheduled transfers were hemodialysis (32.98%), rehabilitation (25%) and outpatient consultations (15.58%). The rest of the services were for oncology patients, ward discharges, emergency and interhospital discharges, among others.
